Catching your breath and finding your balance comes first
Helping your kids grow up and discover who they’re meant to be is the best, hardest job in the world. And it’s so much harder to do if you aren’t taking care of yourself.
Communicating, even with family members, can feel tricky at times. Families and living situations change. People you love move away or pass away. And sometimes, stress can come at you from every angle (and your kids still need stories and kisses before bed).
You need support. Your mental health matters. Your ability to self-regulate can be built, one step at a time. We’re here for you, so you can be there for everyone else.

Family communication
Everyone wants to feel heard and understood. When they don’t, family friction can build. Conversations turn into confrontations. You see more conflict than connection. Arguing, defensiveness, and shutting down happen more and more.
It’s uncomfortable for everyone. And it trickles down from parent to child and then from sibling to sibling. You can’t eliminate disagreements. But you can learn small, simple shifts in how you communicate that make each interaction more positive and relaxed for everyone.
Family dynamics
Families change as the years go by. There might be different places to live, new family members to welcome, and some that are lost along the way. Parents have a broader perspective when big changes occur inside the home, but for kids, these shifts can make their entire foundation feel shaky.
They may wonder where they fit, what else could change next, or if they’re still important to you. When you know how to help your child feel secure in

Divorce & separation
A divorce or separation can affect how everyone in the family feels, where they live, who they see, and even where they go to school if a move is involved. There are new routines, new people, and getting used to a different family structure in the home.
The emotional toll on a child can be hard to measure and even harder to track. Some kids will revert to old behaviors, act out in anger, have a hard time sleeping alone, or blame themselves. Caregivers have their own emotional load to carry as well. Parent coaching can help parents get steady first, so they can help their kids find balance again, too.
Grief & loss
Grief is natural when someone or something you love is gone. And it can make adults and kids feel unstable, like the whole world is off-center. After the loss of a beloved person, pet, or other meaningful relationship, support and guidance can make all the difference.
When you know how to recognize your own grief and allow space for your feelings, you’re modeling something powerful for your child. Early support can help reduce longer term anxiety, withdrawal, and sadness for you and your child. Coaching helps grieving families understand their emotions, build coping skills, maintain routines, and create meaning as they move forward together.

Mindfulness
Being able to stay present as the world whizzes by is a skill that almost anyone can build. It’s about noticing your breath. Feeling your feet on the ground. Feeling your beating heart slow down as you relax.
Giving yourself and your child the ability to practice mindfulness is a gift that builds empathy, resilience, and self-awareness. It can lower stress, regulate emotions, and highlight gratitude. Mindfulness can be used in both calm and chaotic situations. And it can be learned and practiced in just a few intentional moments a day.
Self-regulation
Your mental health and the way you show up for yourself and your family are deeply connected. Feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated at times is going to happen. Finding healthy ways to cope so your stress doesn’t spill over is what matters.
When you’re able to regulate your own emotions, it affects how you react to tantrums, conflicts, and other triggers. It affects how you feel physically and mentally. It allows you to see when you got it wrong and how to repair it. Coaching can help you find your way back to center for yourself and for your child.
