More about Jess
What experience do you have working with families?
When I was a school counselor, I collaborated closely with families to support the academic, social, and emotional development of their kids, often serving as a bridge between home and school. I regularly met with parents to develop individualized plans, offer resources, and ensure students received the support they needed to thrive.
What inspired you to become a coach or coach specialist?
My own journey as a mother and former school counselor inspired me to become a behavioral health coach, as I saw firsthand the importance of advocating for oneself and one’s family while navigating life’s challenges. I’m passionate about supporting kids and families in building strong foundations for overall well-being and growth.
What are your strengths when it comes to working with kids and families?
My strengths as a coach lie in my ability to build trusted relationships and meet families where they are with empathy and understanding. My background in counseling empowers me to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space that helps kids and caregivers take meaningful steps toward their goals.
What else would you like families to know about you?
As a mother of a child who was born prematurely, I understand the challenges families face when advocating for their child while also trying to care and advocate for themselves. I know how important it is to ask for help — even when it’s hard or doesn’t come naturally. I’m passionate about supporting families as they navigate the balance between being dedicated caregivers and individuals with their own needs.
