Learning to parent a child in ways their brain can understand
Kids with neurodiverse brains often get fidgety, struggle with finishing a chore, or don’t seem to be paying attention. But that’s only part of who they are. It’s the tip of the iceberg, really. The parts you don’t always see — the superpowers that are just below the surface — are remarkable.
The challenging behaviors get a lot of attention. After all, you want to keep your child safe and productive. But if you’re willing to look at things a little differently, you’ll discover something. Some of the qualities that come along with neurodiversity have a positive side, too. You’ll discover instincts and skills that can be nurtured to help your child grow steady, confident, and strong.

ADHD
Common traits of ADHD are inattention, impulsive behaviors, and high energy. For some kids, these traits are more persistent and begin to interfere with school, routines, and friendships.
Your child doesn’t need a diagnosis to receive coaching. For some kids with symptoms of ADHD, coaching can be a positive way to understand their strengths and develop helpful skills. And parent coaching is a great way to help caregivers learn the most effective ways to parent their unique child.

Focus & attention
Most kids go through phases where it’s hard to stay focused. Especially when it comes to getting through a task they aren’t interested in (like homework). Those same kids might be great at hyperfocusing on a game or activity they do enjoy.
Improving focus and attention is often about building habits. Developing motivation, regulating emotions, and becoming more confident can all help. We support parents every day as they encourage, set boundaries, and create environments that support their child’s growth.

Autism
Kids with autism, or symptoms of it, don’t need a cure, they need care. Whether you’re noticing early signs or your child already has a diagnosis, what matters most is finding the right support.
Autism is a spectrum, which means it looks different for every child. That’s part of why understanding their brain and how it works can feel overwhelming for a caregiver. But it doesn’t have to be. Parent coaching can be a great place to start for some caregivers looking for help. And if a higher level of support is needed, we can help with that, too.
