BrightLife Kids is a trusted tool your organizations can feel good about offering to families through community programs, events, referrals, and resource sharing.
Our program, created by Brightline, is part of California’s Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI). We are 100% funded by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) as part of their effort to expand access to behavioral health support to families across the state.
Our early-intervention services help families manage common, everyday concerns like stress, communication, school challenges, relationships, and emotional regulation.

Live, 1-to-1 video coaching sessions and secure chat are accessible from anywhere in California
Robust, on-demand digital tools and resources like articles, videos, and downloadable activities are on our website
Care coordination and referral services are available
Bilingual (English/Spanish) coaches and live translation to 17 other languages
Our coaches are experienced and trained to help kids and caregivers with common, everyday concerns. BrightLife Kids coaches have:
Either a master’s degree in a health-related field or bachelor’s degree and relevant experience
Coaching certifications through NBHWC or ICF
5+ years of experience working with kids and families
Successfully passed extensive background checks, including national criminal and sex offender screenings
Completed 80 hours of additional skills and tools training upon hire
Diverse backgrounds and experience supporting LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and historically underserved communities
